PCI Introduces Improved Laser Point II Ablatable Film
Precision Coatings, Inc., Walled Lake, MI, has recently announced an improved version of its patented Laser Point II laser ablatable film. This film allows flexographic platemakers to produce negatives for analog plates on the same laser that is used to ablate digital plates. Due to the buildup of a static charge from handling and processing, the previous version of the product had a tendency to attract airborne contaminants from the general environment. By adding antistatic properties to the backside of the film, PCI has been able to significantly reduce the static buildup. As a result of this change, platemakers will be able to produce higher quality plates.
Laser Point II is sold through a worldwide network of resellers
